Add tracking code, verify your site with search engines and set up your social profiles without touching theme files. Scripts and verification codes live on Signocore SEO → Integrations, the social settings on Signocore SEO → Social.
Search engine verification
Search engines ask you to prove that you own a site before they show you its data. Go to Signocore SEO → Integrations and find the Search Engine Verification card. It has one field each for Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Yandex Webmaster and Baidu Webmaster Tools.
- In the search engine's webmaster tool, add your site and choose the HTML tag (meta tag) method.
- Copy the code, or the whole meta tag.
- Paste it into the matching field. Signocore SEO takes the code out of a full meta tag for you.
- Click Save Changes.
- Go back to the webmaster tool and click its verify button.
The codes are printed on the front page only, which is where the services look for them. Once your site is verified, you can submit your sitemap.
Analytics and site-wide scripts
There is no separate field for a Google Analytics ID. Paste the full tracking snippet from your analytics service, such as the Google tag, into one of the two script cards on Signocore SEO → Integrations:
| Field | Where it loads |
|---|---|
| Header Scripts | In the head section of every page. Most analytics and tag manager snippets go here. |
| Body Scripts | Right before the closing body tag of every page. Use it for code that asks to go at the end of the page. |
Each card has a checkbox for your own visits:
- Header Scripts For Admins: Load header scripts for admin users. Off by default, so your own visits as an administrator do not show up in your analytics.
- Body Scripts For Admins: Load body scripts for admin users. On by default.
"Admin users" means users who can manage the site's settings, which is administrators by default. Logged-in editors, authors and other roles always load the scripts.
Important: Scripts are printed exactly as you enter them, and a broken script can break your pages. Check your site after you save.
The Integrations page is only open to administrators. Only users with WordPress's unfiltered HTML permission can change the scripts; when anyone else saves the page, the stored scripts stay as they were. Developers can change the output with wpsseo_script_header and wpsseo_script_body.
Scripts for a single page
Some code belongs on one page only, such as a conversion tag on a thank-you page. Open the page in the editor, go to the Scripts tab in the SEO box and use:
- Header Scripts: added to the head section of that page.
- Body scripts: added to the bottom of that page's body.
The tab is available on posts, pages, terms and author profiles. These scripts load in addition to the site-wide scripts, for every visitor including administrators. As with the site-wide scripts, only users with the unfiltered HTML permission can save them.
Social settings
Go to Signocore SEO → Social. Besides administrators, the roles you choose under Settings Access can edit this page. See User roles and access.
Analytics
| Field | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Facebook App ID | The ID of a linked Facebook application, as the fb:app_id tag. |
| X Username | Your X (formerly Twitter) account, such as @YourSite, as the twitter:site tag. |
| Pinterest Analytics Verification Code | Verifies your site with Pinterest. Paste the code or the full meta tag. Unlike the search engine codes, it is printed on every page. |
Social profiles
Under Social Profiles, add the URLs of your company's profiles. There is a field for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Skype, Steam and Pinterest. The profiles are added to your organization in the structured data, so search engines can connect them to your site.
Default social image
Default Social Image is the picture shown when someone shares a page that has no image of its own. For each page, Signocore SEO uses the first image it finds:
- The Social Image chosen in the page's SEO box.
- The page's featured image.
- The Default Social Image.
The image is cropped to 1,200 x 630 pixels, a common size for link previews. It is also the fallback for the page's main image in the structured data.
