One developer. Fifteen years. Software you can own.
Signocore is an independent software studio building native WordPress plugins, macOS apps, and free developer tools. No team, no investors, no subscription model. Just software that respects the people using it.

I've spent fifteen-plus years building websites and working with WordPress professionally. Signocore grew out of that experience, and the frustration that came with it.
I got tired of the bloated, subscription-driven plugins that dominate the WordPress ecosystem. Tools that should be simple, but aren't. Powerful features locked behind recurring payments. So I decided to build something better.
The mission is simple: build software that respects the people using it.
WordPress deserves better tools.
Signocore started as Swift SEO, a direct response to plugins like Yoast and Rank Math. They look good on paper, but bloated in practice. Missing core features unless you pay for add-ons. Slow. Opinionated in ways that don't benefit the developer.
I wanted to build a single SEO plugin that did the job without bloat, subscription traps, or compromises on performance. That plugin grew into something bigger, and Swift SEO became Signocore, a home for focused, well-built WordPress tools.
The mission hasn't changed: build software that respects the people using it.
Why aren't Signocore plugins on the WordPress repository?
It's a fair question. I've been through their approval process, but over time I couldn't align with how Automattic treats plugin developers.
There's a documented history of them taking over plugins hosted on the repository, most notably Advanced Custom Fields, removing credit from the original developer and repurposing the work. That's not something I'm willing to support or be part of.
Distributing independently means I stay in control of what I build and how I build it. You always know exactly who made what you're using. That's not going to change.
