Your content is never modified; deactivate the other plugin first and take a backup. Polylang string translations are not imported. For code, the WPML compatibility layer means anything in your theme or third-party plugins that uses wpml_object_id, wpml_current_language, wpml_switch_language, and similar WPML hooks keeps working with Signocore Multilanguage active.

How do URLs work for each language?
Three URL strategies are available. Free includes the directory strategy (/en/about, /es/sobre-nosotros) which works on any host without DNS changes. Pro adds two additional strategies: subdomain (en.example.com, es.example.com) and custom domain (example.com for English, example.es for Spanish). All strategies generate proper hreflang tags automatically.
