What Signocore FAQ does.
Signocore FAQ treats every question as a first-class custom post type, with its own URL, admin list and edit screen. Questions group into categories, and optional category-aware URLs give you a real structure to link into: /faq/billing/can-i-pay-monthly rather than a heading buried halfway down a page.
Two native Gutenberg blocks cover the rest. FAQ Element embeds a single question and answer inline; FAQ List renders an accordion or link list, filtered by category or hand-picked, with a direct link to every answer. A [signocore_faq] shortcode covers page builders without block support, and a WooCommerce tab puts product questions where buyers look for them.
A note on expectations: Google retired FAQ rich snippets in May 2026. The value here is FAQ content management, semantic markup and internal linking, not search snippets. It is free forever, and it surfaces related terms automatically when Signocore Glossary is active alongside it.

How do I organise questions into categories?
Each question can be assigned to one or more FAQ categories (a dedicated taxonomy). Optionally enable category navigation in settings to get clean URLs like /faq/billing/can-i-pay-monthly. Without it, questions live at /faq/can-i-pay-monthly. Either way, the dedicated FAQ page groups questions by category automatically.
Does Signocore FAQ output FAQPage schema for Google rich snippets?
No. Google retired FAQ rich snippets from search results in May 2026, so the plugin focuses on what still matters: a clean, accessible FAQ system that loads fast and reads well. If you run Signocore SEO Pro, it generates the FAQ schema and the FAQ blocks carry matching anchors, so every schema question points at a real element on the page.
Does Signocore FAQ work with my theme?
Yes. The frontend output uses semantic HTML and inherits your theme typography. The default styling is minimal (spacing, list and accordion chrome), so the FAQ index and individual question pages adopt whatever your theme defines for headings and body text. It can be turned off entirely in settings if you want full theme control.
Can I use it without an SEO plugin?
Yes. The plugin is fully self-contained, with no SEO plugin needed and no extra dependencies. Add questions in WP admin, drop a Gutenberg block into any post, or use the [signocore_faq] shortcode in builders without block support.
Can I show FAQs on WooCommerce product pages?
Yes. With WooCommerce active, products get a FAQ tab. Hand-pick the questions for each product on the product edit screen, or leave it empty and questions whose tags match the product tags fill the tab automatically. The tab can be switched off in settings.
Does it pair with the Glossary plugin?
Yes. If both Signocore FAQ and Signocore Glossary are active, related glossary terms can be surfaced alongside FAQ entries automatically. Both plugins work fine on their own as well.
Is it really free, with no upsell tier?

Changes in version 3.2.2:
- Fixed: Sites running a PHP version older than 8.0 no longer hit a fatal error. The plugin now pauses itself and shows a clear notice asking to update PHP.
- Fixed: The "update available" notice no longer lingers after the plugin has been updated.
