Signocore SEO documentation

Signocore SEO takes care of the technical SEO on a WordPress site: titles and descriptions, social sharing tags, XML sitemaps, robots rules, structured data and breadcrumbs. Free and Pro are the same plugin. A license key switches on the Pro features, so you never reinstall anything to upgrade.

What it does

• Prints the title tag, meta description, canonical URL, robots directives and Open Graph and X (Twitter) tags on every page, from text you write or from templates with placeholders.
• Adds an SEO box to the post editor with a search preview, social previews, keyword checks and a readability estimate. Categories, tags and author profiles get the same fields.
• Builds an XML sitemap index and a robots.txt that can also keep AI crawlers out, applies your noindex rules and can notify search engines through IndexNow when you publish.
• Outputs one connected schema.org graph (JSON-LD) built from your company details.
• Adds breadcrumbs, a reading time shortcode and a Table of Contents block.
• Gives you a Bulk Editor and an SEO Dashboard that point out missing, duplicate, outdated and thin content, and a Missing alt text filter in the list view of the media library.
• Imports your existing SEO data from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO and SEOPress. With Pro, it also imports redirects from Yoast SEO Premium, Rank Math, All in One SEO and the Redirection plugin.
• Works with WooCommerce, WPML, Polylang, Signocore Multilanguage and the Genesis framework. With the free version of Polylang, it also provides Polylang's Share slugs and Translate slugs modules.
• Keeps the page head tidy: it removes the WordPress, WPML and WooCommerce version tags and the shortlink tag, and adds rel="noopener" to links that open in a new tab.

Where to start

1. Installation and license: install the plugin and add your Pro license key.
2. Switch from another SEO plugin: bring over titles, descriptions and keywords before you deactivate the old plugin.
3. Structured data: fill in your company details. Until you do, the schema graph names your organization after the site title.
4. Titles, descriptions and templates: set templates for each content type and learn the SEO box in the editor.
5. Sitemaps, indexing and robots.txt: decide what search engines should see.
6. Analytics, verification and scripts: verify your site with Google and Bing and add tracking code.
7. User roles and access: choose who can edit SEO fields and settings.

With Pro, continue with AI generation and Redirects and the 404 manager.

Requirements

Signocore SEO runs on the WordPress and PHP versions listed on the platform support page. The Table of Contents block and four SEO Health checks (secondary keywords in subheadings, the keyword in the introduction, alt text on images and internal links) also need the PHP dom extension; everything else works without it.
