Plugin integrations

Signocore Slate checks which plugins are active and loads its styling and settings for them only then. Most integrations add their own sections to the Customizer, where you set the layout of the plugin's pages the same way as for posts and pages. See Colors, typography and layout for how those layout settings work.

WooCommerce

With WooCommerce active, the shop, product, cart, checkout and account pages use the theme's layout and styling, and the Customizer gets extra settings in these places:

Shop layout and the top row

Under Product Catalog, Archive Layout chooses between a normal, narrow or full-width layout and a left or right sidebar. The same section sets the product button style, the image swap on hover and the number of columns on phones.

Above the products, the theme shows a top row with these items, all on by default:

Show Archive Grid/List Toggle?	Buttons that switch between a grid and a list. Default Archive View sets the view visitors see first

Add Active Filters to top of Shop? adds the filters a visitor has selected above the products, and Show Button to Remove all Filters? adds a link that clears them.

Off-canvas filter

The off-canvas filter puts your product filter widgets in a drawer that opens from a button in the shop's top row, so they do not take up a sidebar.

Go to Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Product Catalog and turn on Add Off Canvas Widget Area?.
Set the button with Toggle Icon and Toggle Label. The label is "Filter" by default.
Click Add Widget Items and add your filter widgets to the Catalog Off Canvas Sidebar widget area. You can also add them under Appearance → Widgets.
Under WooCommerce → Catalog Off Canvas Sidebar Settings, set Layout to Side Panel or Fullwidth, and choose the Slide-Out Side.

The button appears in the top row of the shop and the product category and tag pages, whenever the page has products to show.

Infinite scroll

Shop and category pages load the next page of products when the visitor reaches the end of the list, instead of showing page numbers. Turn it on or off with Infinite Scroll for Products? under Appearance → Customize → General → Infinite Scroll. It is on by default. End of Content Text sets the message after the last product.

Infinite scroll starts only on the first page of an archive. A visitor who opens page 2 directly gets normal page numbers.

Custom shop page

With Custom Content For Shop Page? on, the shop shows the content of the page you set as the shop page in WooCommerce, instead of the default product list. Build that page in the block editor with product blocks and any other content.

Sticky add to cart

The sticky add to cart bar keeps the product title, the price and an add to cart button on screen while visitors scroll a product page. For products with choices, such as variable products, the button scrolls to the product form instead. Under WooCommerce → Single Product Layout:

Popout cart

The popout cart is a cart panel that slides in from the side of the screen. Turn it on with Cart Click Action under Header → Header Cart: Link goes to the cart page, Popout Cart opens the panel and Dropdown Cart shows the cart under the icon. The mobile header cart has Link and Popout Cart.

Under WooCommerce → Add to Cart Behavior:

Show the cart popout on add to cart? opens the popout cart as soon as a product is added.
Single Product Ajax Add to Cart adds simple and variable products from the product page without reloading the page.

A free shipping notice with a progress bar can show in the cart panel until the cart reaches the free shipping amount. Under Header → Header Cart, turn on Show amount left in order to receive free shipping in cart Popout, set Amount needed for Free Shipping. and write the Cart Notice Message. in the message is replaced with the amount still missing, for example "You're {cart_difference} away from free shipping". The setting shows when Cart Click Action is not Link.

LearnDash

The LearnDash panel in the Customizer has layout sections for Course Layout, Course Archive Layout, Lesson Layout, Quiz Layout, Topic Layout, Groups Layout and Essay Layout. Each sets the title area, the layout, the sidebar and the content style for that content type, like the post layout settings. The sections for single content also set the featured image, and Course Archive Layout sets the number of columns.

LifterLMS

The LifterLMS panel has sections for Course Layout, Course Archive, Lesson Layout, Quiz Layout, Membership Layout, Membership Archive and User Dashboard. The theme places LifterLMS pages in its own content area and sidebar. The course sections also set the syllabus layout, its columns and lesson thumbnails, and User Dashboard sets the dashboard navigation layout and the number of columns for courses and memberships.

Tutor LMS

The TutorLMS panel has Course Layout and Course Archive Layout. The theme wraps single courses, the course archive and the student dashboard in its content area. Course Layout also has Move sidebar up into header?, the syllabus layout and lesson thumbnails.

The Events Calendar

The Events Calendar's panel in the Customizer gets two sections from the theme: Single Event Layout for single events, with the title area, sidebar and featured image, and Events Layout for the calendar views, with the layout, sidebar and background. Event pages use the theme's content area.

bbPress

The bbPress panel has Forum Archive, Forum Layout and Topic Layout. The theme ships its own templates for forum lists, topics, replies and the forum forms, and adjusts bbPress's search form, breadcrumb separator and admin links to match the theme.

Elementor

With Elementor active:

Global colors: your palette appears as Theme Global Colors in Elementor's global colors, so Elementor designs use the same colors as the theme.
Page defaults: the first time you open an empty page in Elementor, the theme sets that page to a full-width layout without the title, the featured image or the content padding. You can change these settings afterwards, and posts are never changed.
Header Footer Elementor: when that plugin has an active header or footer template, it replaces the theme's header or footer.

Elementor Pro

Elementor Pro's Theme Builder can replace the theme's header, footer and single templates. When a template for one of these locations applies to a page, it takes the place of the theme's header, footer or post content. The other Theme Builder locations, such as archives, work as usual.

When the cart, checkout or My Account page is built with Elementor, the theme adjusts its WooCommerce styling on that page so the Elementor design shows as you built it.

AMP

The theme supports the official AMP plugin. On AMP pages:

the theme does not load its navigation and WooCommerce scripts,
the mobile menu, the search popup and the header widget toggle open with AMP's own components instead,
comments update with AMP's live list,
Enable CSS Preload is ignored, see Fonts and performance.

Signocore plugins

Signocore plugins detect Signocore Slate and place their content through the theme's layout. Each plugin works on its own; the theme only decides where the output appears.

Signocore SEO breadcrumbs

The breadcrumbs in the theme's title area follow Breadcrumb Engine under Appearance → Customize → General → Breadcrumbs:

Using Signocore SEO's breadcrumbs keeps the visible trail the same as the breadcrumbs in its structured data. The [slate_breadcrumbs] shortcode prints the breadcrumbs of the chosen engine anywhere, see Customizing with code.

Signocore Toolkit

Signocore Toolkit adds:

Share buttons at the end of the post content, inside the article, on the post types you tick under Signocore Toolkit → Social. The home page, the front page and WooCommerce pages never get them.
Blog page content: the content of the page you set as your posts page, on the first page of the blog.
Archive Intro Text, which you set on the edit screen of a category, tag or other term, and the Author Description from user profiles, on archive pages.
Archive Additional Text (After Products/Posts), after the list of posts on archive pages.
Your theme colors on its maintenance page and login screen, read from your Slate palette, and your theme fonts when they are not Google Fonts.

The blog page content and the archive intro text sit below the archive title, so they show when Archive Title Layout is In Content, under Appearance → Customize → Posts/Pages Layout → Archive Layout. With Above Content, or with the title turned off, they do not show.

On Signocore Slate the Toolkit no longer prints breadcrumbs of its own: the theme's Breadcrumb Engine handles Signocore SEO's breadcrumbs.

Signocore FAQ and Signocore Glossary

Signocore FAQ and Signocore Glossary place their related content in the theme's areas instead of at the end of the content:
