Common questions
Are these passwords actually secure?
Yes. Generation uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the Web Crypto API's cryptographically secure random number source, not Math.random().
Is any password sent anywhere or logged?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored, which is also why there is no rate limit.
Passphrase or password, which is stronger?
A long passphrase of four or five random words is easier to remember and can be just as strong as a shorter random password, provided the words are chosen randomly rather than picked by you.
